What is chiropractic?
A. The spine and joints provide a protective covering for the spinal cord and nerves. Through
wear and tear, injury, and aging, the joints may stop moving properly. This can result in nerve
irritation, pain, stiffness, muscle spasm, headaches, and other symptoms.
Simply put, my goal is to
return these joints to as close to normal function as possible. This often results in a significant
decrease or total elimination of symptoms. Patients also report that they are more flexible, feel
better and sleep better after treatment.

What is Video Fluoroscopy?A. Regular x-rays only allow you to see a static picture of the spine. Video Fluoroscopy is a motion
x-ray technology that actually allows the doctor to see the spine and joints in motion.
The
procedure is painless and generally takes less than a minute, and motion x-rays are saved to a
computer server in the office.
The best part is, patients can watch their motion x-ray with the
doctor and actually see for themselves where the problem might be. The doctor can then direct
treatment to those areas of the spine.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see a chiropractor? A. In Washington state, your insurance company no longer requires a referral if you want
to see a chiropractor. You are also able to see a chiropractor without a referral if you were
injured in an automobile accident or you've had an on the job injury.
Once I go to the chiropractor, will I have to go for the rest of my life?A. Absolutely not. In fact, many people get significant results after only a few treatments. Others choose to visit my office for wellness care, much like people visit the dentist to
have their teeth cleaned.
Is chiropractic treatment safe?
A. Chiropractic treatment is very safe and effective . Many patients report relief of headaches,
pain and stiffness, without the side effects of prescription medication.
